基于小波的视频压缩算法在视频监控系统中的应用

摘要
数字视频监控系统是安全防范系统的组成部分,现已广泛应用在各个行业。但庞大的视频数据的传输和存储却制约着视频监控的发展,所以这就迫切地需要对庞大的视频数据进行压缩编码处理。传统的视频压缩算法都是基于分块的离散余弦变换(DCT)编码方法,但是基于DCT的压缩图像不可避免地会出现块效应和飞蚊噪声,然而小波压缩技术在消除由DCT变换所引起的块效应和飞蚊噪声方面有良好的率失真品质。因此针对视频传输过程中的块效应和飞蚊噪声没有被很好解决的现状,本文采用小波压缩技术对视频数据进行压缩,以期使视频监控达到良好的视频效果,为安防系统提供有价值的资源信息。
     本文的主要内容及创新如下:
     (1)在研究小波理论知识的基础上,介绍了两类基于小波技术的静止图像压缩编码方法,提升小波变换编码和嵌入式小波编码,并对嵌入式编码中的EZW、SPIHT和SPECK三种算法进行了分析和比较。
     (2)根据基于小波的静止图像编码方法,研究了基于小波的视频压缩编码。
     (3)重点研究了基于小波域的多分辨率运动估计算法,并结合以往视频监控容易出现的块效应和飞蚊噪声等特点,现将此算法应用到视频监控系统中,并对此算法进行了改进。实验结果表明,改进后的算法可大大提高视频压缩的效率。
     (4)给出了视频监控系统的设计方案和相关实现技术。
     在此基础上,设计并开发了基于小波压缩算法的视频监控系统,实验结果表明,该视频监控系统可以实时地、清晰地、流畅地将图像信息呈现到监控者的眼中。并对视频监控系统的功能进行完善,实现了音频视频同步,使其成为一个完全仿真的视频监控系统。
Digital Video Surveillance System is an integral part of security system and used in various area widely at present.Howerver,the transmission and storage of huge video data restrict the development of video surveillance system,so all of these technology are needed to compressing the large number of image data urgently. Traditional video compression are Discrete Cosine Transform encode based on detach block,but the block effect and flying mosquito yawp based on DCT picture is inevitable,however wavelet compression technology has good quality of rate-distortion in the aspect of eliminating block effect and flying mosquito yawp which caused by DCT. Therefore,against the status of blocking and flying mosquito noise do not solute well, in this paper,we compress the video used wavelet compression technology to make a good result of video and provide the valuable resource information for Surveillance System.
     The main contents and innovation of this article are as follows:
     (1) In the basis of wavelet theory, introduces two types of still image compression coding based on wavelet:one is Lifting Wavelet Transform the other is Embedded Wavelet Transform,and makes an analysis and comparison of EZW,SPIHT and SPECK which in the Embedded Wavelet Transform.
     (2) Studys the video compression coding of wavelet based on still image coding of wavelet.
     (3) In this paper,we focus on the multi-resolution motion estimation algorithm,and with the blocking and flying mosquito noise which in the Video Surveillance System,now we applies the algorithm to Video Surveillance System and makes an improvement for this algorithm.The experiment results show that the improved algorithm can improve the efficiency of video compression greatly.
     (4) It gives the design scheme and related realization technology of Video Surveillance System.
     On this basis,we design and develop a Video Surveillance System which based on the algorithm of wavelet.The experiment results show that the remote can see the video images of local realtimely, clearly, smoothly in a Video Surveillance System,also improve the function of Video Surveillance System,produce the synchronization of audio and video and make it become to a full real Video Surveillance System.
