“语势”与“势”庞德译学理论比较研究

摘要
本文对庞德诗学及译学理论中的语势观与中国古典兵法、书法、绘画及诗学理论中的势论进行比较研究。该研究有助于理解庞德诗学及译学理论中的语势观,有助于洞见庞德译学理论及《神州集》翻译策略,亦有助于客观评价庞德译学理论对译论史的贡献。该研究采用影响、比较及个案等研究方法,从中国传统诗、书、画论中的势论及庞德语势观的角度对庞德译学观进行研究。
     本文共由七章组成。第一章为前言,主要介绍该研究的研究主题、研究意义、研究动机、研究背景、前期研究、研究方法、章节安排、思路及论点展开;第二章对中国古典兵法、书法、绘画及诗学理论中的势论进行讨论;第三章研究庞德诗学理论中的语势观;第四章研究庞德译学理论中的语势观;第五章从语势观的角度分析庞德《神州集》的翻译策略;第六章讨论庞德译学理论对译论史的贡献;第七章总结该研究所取得的成果,指出该研究的学术意义。
     本文认为中国古典兵法、书法、绘画及诗学理论的势论是庞德语势观的重要理论来源,语势观是庞德诗学及译学理论的核心,庞德以语势为尚的译学理论对译论史有着重要的认识论及方法论意义。
     本研究颇具学术价值。本文对中国古典兵法、书法、绘画及诗学理论中的势论的研究有助于中外庞德研究学者对庞德诗学及译学理论语势观的理解;第二,对语势观的研究,有助于加深对庞德诗学理论进而对其译学理论的认识;第三,为将来庞德译学理论的研究提供了一个有效的切入点;第四,通过对《神州集》的分析有助于加深对庞德译学理论的理解;第五,通过总结庞德独特的翻译策略对中国诗歌翻译实践者有所裨益;最后,将庞德译学理论置于译论史中进行研究有助于客观地认识庞德译学理论的意义。
The thesis is an attempt to study energy in language (yushi) in Pound's poetics and theory of translation as well as the concept of shi (energy, momentum) in Chinese tactics, calligraphy, painting and poetics. It is conductive to an explicit understanding of energy in language in Pound's poetics and theory of translation, to a deep insight into Pound's theory of translation and the translation strategies adopted in Cathay, and to a scientific evaluation of the significances of Pound's theory of translation to the history of translation theory. It has been carried out by a study of influence, of parallel and case study. The research approaches Pound's theory of translation in the perspective of the concept of energy in language, which, in turn, is examined in the perspective of the concept of shi in Chinese tactics, calligraphy, painting and poetics.
    The thesis comprises seven chapters. Chapter One, as the introduction, is a presentation of the theme, significances, background, motivations, previous researches, method, framework, development and thesis of the research. Chapter Two is devoted to an investigation of the concept of shi in Chinese tactics, calligraphy, painting and poetics. Chapter Three focuses on the concept of energy in language in Pound's poetics. Chapter Four concentrates on the concept of energy in language in Pound's theory of translation. Chapter Five is a case study of Cathay in the perspective of energy in language. Chapter Six discusses the significances of Pound's theory of translation to the history of translation theory. Chapter Seven draws the conclusion of the thesis and makes the implications of the study.
    It is argued that, deriving an important theoretical insight from the concept of ski ( ) in Chinese tactics, calligraphy, painting and poetics, the concept of energy in language (yushi) lies at the basis of Pound's poetics and theory of translation, with the energy-based theory of translation epistemologically and methodologically significant to the history of translation theory.
    It is supposed that the research is of academic value in the sense that it will
    
    
    
    help the Pound scholars, both western and Chinese, understand the concept of energy in language in Pound's poetics and theory of translation by investigating the concept of shi in Chinese tactics, calligraphy, painting and poetics; second, it will advance the knowledge of Pound's poetics and further that of his theory of translation by probing into their basis - the concept of energy in language; third, it will conduce to further research on Pound's theory of translation by providing an efficient departure; fourth, it will facilitate the understanding of Pound's theory of translation by presenting an empirical analysis of Cathay poems; fifth, it will benefit translators of the Chinese poetry by summarizing Pound's unique translation strategies; and last but not least, it will contribute to a scientific evaluation of the significances of Pound's theory of translation in the large context of the history of translation theory.
