基于DM642的网络视频传输系统研究与实现

摘要
随着社会发展和技术进步,视频的远程传输应用越来越多,例如在图像通信、视频监控、网络流媒体、数字电视及IPTV等领域。在这些应用系统中,视频的编解码是核心的技术。国际电信联盟(International Telecommunication Union,ITU)和MPEG组织(Moving Picture Expert Group)分别制定了各自的编码标准,极大地促进了视频编解码技术的研究和应用。
     TI公司于2002年推出的多媒体处理芯片TMS320DM642已经被广泛的应用于多媒体领域,它丰富接口和高速的运算能力为实现视频的实时采集显示、编解码、网络传输提供了硬件基础。以DM642为核心的各种网络视频产品已经被广泛的使用。
     MPEG-4标准是现在最重要最有影响力的多媒体数据压缩编码国际标准之一,基于对象的编码思想使其具有高压缩比、可扩展性、可交互性等许多优点。随着视频压缩技术研究的深入,采用MPEG-4视频标准的嵌入式视频系统必然会更广泛的应用于各个领域。
     本文完整的介绍了以DM642为核心开发网络视频传输系统中所涉及到的软硬件技术。论文首先介绍了DM642视频处理板的硬件设计,然后介绍了MPEG-4编解码算法及其到DM642上的移植,最后介绍了通过网络传输视频的实现。
With the development of society and technology, video transmitting is used more and more, such as video telecommunicate, video guard, streaming media, digital TV and IPTV etc. In those systems, video coding is most important. ITU (International Telecommunication Union) and MPEG (Moving Picture Expert Group) have developed coding standard of their own, this promote the research and application of video coding extremely.
     The multimedia process chip TMS320DM642 which is made by TI in 2002 is used abroad in multimedia. Its all kinds of interface and high speed provide hardware foundation for real-time video sample and display, video encode and decode and net ware transmitting. Many network video products based on DM642 are used in real system.
     MPEG-4 is one of the most influence multimedia data coding standard. The video object method makes it have higher compression ratio, flexible, interactive characteristic. With the research of video compression, more and more embedded video processing system will be used in many fields.
     This paper particular introduce hardware and software design of the network video transmitting system base on DM642. The paper introduce the hardware design of DM642 video processing board, then introduce the arithmetic of MEPG-4 and its implement on DM642, the video transmitting by internet is introduce finally.
