VERP theory is an action plan developed by the National Park Service of the United States for visitor management and resource protection, and is widely applied to the national parks of the United States. Compared to ROS theory and LAC theory, the theory pays more attention to the relationship between tourist experience and resource protection. Based on the VERP theory, combined with field research, through the analysis of relevant stakeholders, the action plan of tourist experience and resource protection in Hunan Nanshan National Park pilot area has been worked out to provide suggestions for the sustainable utilization of recreational resources in the pilot area.
