Safety problem caused by cell-phone distraction is raising wide attention in recent years. Studies gradually developed from analyzing the behavior frequency, basic characteristics to those investigating the distraction, crash risk ratio increase and the influence on the surrounding vehicles brought by phone use, basing on the naturalistic driving data and the driving simulating data. However, the target of understanding then eliminating this safety problem never changed. The annual meeting held by Transportation Research Board(TRB) is a top-ranking conference around the world in the field of transportation research. This paper summarized the latest studies related to phone-distracted driving exhibited on the recent-two-years annual meetings, in order to support further studies related to this subject.
