摘要
进入5G初期,UE将同时连接4G&5G接入网(E-UTRAN和NR)。4G和5G共用一个核心网(EPC+或NGC),与传统的网络架构场景相比,NSA架构下接入侧的移动性管理变得更加复杂。4G-5G互操作分为RAN侧和CN侧,从无线的角度出发,选取对NSA场景的4G-5G RAN侧互操作中的Dual Connectivity(双连接)技术进行介绍,尤其是双连接对RRC相关方面的影响。其中,重点对双连接技术未来对组网结构、网络覆盖、网络容量和移动性管理四个方面的影响进行分析。
        In the early stage of 5G, the UE will connect to the 4G&5G access network(E-UTRAN and NR) at the same time. 4G and 5G share a core network(EPC+ or NGC). Compared with the traditional network architecture scenario, the mobility management of the access side under the NSA architecture becomes more complicated. 4G-5G interoperability is divided into RAN side and CN side. From the wireless point of view, the Dual Connectivity technology in the 4G-5G RAN side interoperation of the NSA scenario is introduced, especially the impact of dual connectivity on RRC related aspects is described in detail. Among them, the focus is on the impact of dual connectivity technology on the four aspects of networking structure, network coverage, network capacity and mobility management.
