基于语料库的商务英语描述类词汇搭配研究——以financial,fiscal,economic为例

摘要
语料库与频率表的相继问世为搭配研究提供了新视角,相较于传统的一般英语搭配研究,商务英语搭配研究还处于起步阶段。研究商务英语描述类词汇能够反映当下的商务趋势。本文基于Firth的词汇组合理论和Mitchel的语法结构理论通过句法特征来研究搭配,采用定性、定量相结合的研究方法基于香港理工大学商务英语语料库分析financial,fiscal,economic这三个金融类商务英语描述类词汇的搭配特征以及其暗藏的商务趋势。阐述了基于语料库的商务英语词汇搭配的研究方法和机制,同时还深化对于商务英语描述类词汇搭配的理解。
The creation of corpus and frequency list provides new perspective to collocation researches. Compared with the study of traditional collocation of English words, business description word is a lexical category that can reflect business trend.Based on Firth's lexical composition theory and Mitchel's structural pattern theory, this article adopts qualitative and quantitative research methods to analyze the collocation of business description words. With the help of PolyU business English corpus, by analyzing financial, fiscal and economic which are financial business description words, the study demonstrates the collocation characteristics of business description words and the business trend that they delivery. To some extent, this study illustrates the methods on conducting a corpus-based collocation study of business English words and deepens the understanding of the collocation of business description words.
