English Revolution was a turning point in British history in the 17 th century. The relationship between kingship and parliament changed and England moved towards constitutionalism. During the English Revolution, a large number of royal, church and royalist properties were confiscated and sold. Before the end of the Revolution, most of the properties were restored to the owners or flowed into the hands of other landlords, which further consolidated the strength of the property owners. Land mobility is one of the important ways of resource allocationand has a far-reaching impact on British society.

Leon Trotsky,Dictatorship Vs.Democracy,a Reply to Karl Kautsky,New York:Workers party of America,1922,p.49.
