///From the analysis of hydrodynamic field, groundwater chemistry field, and the status of exploitation and utilization in deep confined freshwater in Binzhou area for more than 40 years. The authors found that over excavation of groundwater led to widely descending of groundwater level and cone of groundwater depression, the rapidly expanding of groundwater depression led to saltwater intrusion. In order to rational utilize confined water and prevent saltwater intrusion, calculate the allowable yield about 2001.9 m3/a of deeply confined water under the constraint condition of controlling groundwater lowering speed and preventing saltwater intrusion, this paper suggests adjusting exploitive positions, reduce exploitation of deep confined water, moderately utilizing upper shallow groundwater and deep groundwater recharge.
