Structural Analysis of the Micang Shan Basement-Involved Thrust Belt in the Western Edge of the Yangtze Block
详细信息
摘要

The Micangshan, located in the northwest of the Yangtze block, is a huge basement-involved anticline. In this paper, the authors use geometric analysis technology to decipher this special basement-involved anticline. Through the construction of three synthetical geological sections across the Micangshan based on geophysical data and field investigation, the authors study the formation and the spatial distribution of this huge anticline, and focus on the questions such as 1) the sequences involved and their distribution and mutual contact; 2) the extension of faults that controlled the anticline and their distribution, detachment depth, geometric characteristic and mutual relation; and 3) the structural styles and section restoration.
