Based on the finite element method (FEM) and Cole-Cole model, The authors present the study on the numerical simulation on dual-frequency IP method in this paper. Firstly, the authors introduces the primary theory of the dual-frequency IP method, and then gives the boundary value problem and variety equations and then gives one method with replacing the complex resistivity of the model with the Cole-Cole model’s parameters with ignoring the EM effect. Finally, each complex voltage of the model’s point can be gotten by solving the equations. By changing model’s parameters, the authors can get different curves of the Fs and absolute phase. According to the results of the simulation, it’s shown that the method is correct and adaptable and the results are fit to the practical case.
