In this paper, the authors proposed the tectonic stress correction for the method of estimating the depth of mineralization. It is based on the recovery of the tectonic stress of the deformed rocks, which means, first of all,we should eliminate the additional hydrostatic tectonic stress, the hydrostatic pressure of diagenetic mineralization. The calculated results of the depth for diagenetic mineralization is corrected by studying of microstructure. Finally, the authors get the result of the measure for the depth of mineralization for the Xincheng gold deposit for the first time.It was 1781.29 m at the -530 m mid segment.
