The north Chilian is rich in mineral resources in the west of China, and the headstream and three trunk streams flowing across area of interior rivers with abundant hydraulic water resources in Gansu Province. With the great development in the west of China, local minerals and water-resources were developed gradually, and the Chilien Choteau ended the rare human being history. It is helpful to study and summaries the knowledge of the geological hazard there for preventing and mitigating disaster with engineering development. In this paper, on the basis of introduced representative debris flows and combined with the investigating data of debris flows in Taolai River, it analyzes the characteristics ,forming conditions and jeopardizing and the prevention and cure measures is suggested. The conclusion is that there are universal debris flows with middling occurrence and little middle dimensions, difficult to father, but effective to evade and defend the debris flows.
