Port Phillip Bay (PPB) is important for foraging and socialising dolphins and nursing groups. Ticonderoga Bay Sanctuary Zone (TBSZ) is of proven importance for foraging dolphins. Implementation of TBSZ was a correct management decision. Tour operator non-compliance & management non-enforcement limits TBSZ's efficiency. Three hotspots identified that management can prioritise as needing protection.
