An updated model to assess the orientation factor is proposed. The model predicts the distribution and the number of fibres crossing a vertical cut. The proposed model was verified for steel and synthetic fibres. The proposed model allows considering the use of non-rigid fibres. Tables with the theoretical distribution of fibres within the cross section are supplied.
