Influence of FRP anchor configuration on the behavior of FRP plates externally bonded on concrete members

33 FRP plates externally bonded and anchored to concrete are tested under axial tension. Effects of embedment depth, and number and configuration of FRP anchors are studied. Initial peak load of double longitudinal-anchor specimens decreases significantly with increasing distance between the far-end anchor and loaded end. Peak loads of double transverse-anchor specimens decrease significantly when the distance between anchors and loaded end exceeds a threshold value. The interface ductility of single- and double-anchor specimens is more sensitive to the anchor configuration than that of quadruple-anchor specimens.
