28 new apatite (U-Th)/He data (3.6– 35.8 Ma) from the northern Kuqa fold-and-thrust belt Positive relationship between single-grain AHe ages and [eU] Forward modelling revealed a phase of enhanced cooling at 10–20 Ma. Mid-Late Miocene enhanced erosion in response to the crustal shortening.
