•: We investigated the proteome of CD34⁺ cells between SAA patients and normal controls.
•: The proteome were examined by iTRAQ labeling combination of tandem mass spectrometry.
•: We identified 156 differential expression proteins in CD34⁺ cells in SAA patients.
•: 53 proteins were up-regulated and 103 proteins were down-regulated in SAA patients.
•: The abnormal expression of some protein may be one of the reasons for SAA.
