We measured Nd isotopes on foraminifera from the deep low latitude Atlantic Ocean. The glacial deep eastern Atlantic exhibited a depth-dependent Nd isotopic gradient. The glacial west to east circulation at low latitudes was similar to the modern ocean. The glacial eastern Atlantic stored more respired carbon than the western Atlantic.
