The thermal response test (TRT) interpretation on a shallow energy pile is analysed. The inverse numerical processing of the test measurements is presented. The axial heat transfer and pile geometry are carefully taken into account. Influence of the TRT interpretation on the sizing the pile field is investigated. Effect of the TRT results on the long-term energy efficiency of GSHP is shown.
