The half-metallicity originates from d-d and covalent hybridizations.

The M<sub>totsub> of CoRuTiZ compounds obey the slater-pauling rule (M<sub>totsub>=Z<sub>totsub>&minus;24).

The widest region of half-metallicity belongs to CoRuTiSi (about 0.59 Å).
