•: The detection of anti-HLA antibodies using the Luminex assay is a frequent event in allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation donors.
•: We analyzed the impact of anti-HLA antibodies detected in voluntary unrelated donors on the occurrence of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD).
