Synthesis of Fe2(MoO4)3 with a hetero-dimensional nanoparticle (0D)–nanorod (1D) morphology by solvothermal method.

A 50:50 wt% composite of Fe2(MoO4)3 and MWCNT results in a specific capacity of 1321 mAh g−1 as lithium-ion battery anode.

82% retention of capacity is observed after 200 cycles at 0.1 mA cm−2 with no appreciable change in morphology.
