Fenretinide is capable of eradicating myeloma SP and MP cells, but not BMMCs. Fenretinide induced apoptosis was linked to the rapid generation of ROS. Fenretinide has more effect on SP cells combined with bortezomib and dexamethasone. Fenretinide is a promising therapeutic agent in MM treatment.
