Timing and tectonic implications of the Pan-African Bangangte syenomonzonite, West Cameroon: Constraints from in-situ zircon U-Pb age and Hf-O isotopes
Bangangte syenomonzonites in West Cameroon are emplaced at ∼584 Ma.
•
They are typical shoshonitic rocks generated by partial melting of an enriched mantle source.
•
These rocks display a transitional feature of subduction-related and within-plate shoshonites.
•
They emplaced in a post-collisional setting at the waning stage of Pan-African collisional orogeny.
