GO sheets were successfully incorporated into a CMC-based superabsorbent resin. GO sheets had no influence on the inherent structure of the superabsorbent resin. GO sheets changed the surface morphology of the superabsorbent resin. The HSAR showed an enhanced swelling and water-retention ability.
