The friction torque of rolling bearings lubricated with grease, base oil and bleed-oil was measured. Tests performed with fresh greases of different formulation. A rolling bearing friction torque model was optimized to the experimental results. The polymer greases show less friction than typical multi-purpose lithium greases.
