We studied habitat characteristics of 2 Ceratophyllum species in small water bodies. Ceratophyllum demersum and C. submersum occupied distinct ecological niches. Plant biomass was the most differentiating factor for both species of Ceratophyllum. Depth and turbidity proved best in accounting for differences in biometric parameters.
