Binary pyrite-type Ni0.5Fe0.5Se2/CFC was prepared by a facile two-step process. The effect of Ni/Fe (NixFe1-xSe2 x = 0, 0.2, 0.5, 0.8, 1) on OER was investigated. Ni0.5Fe0.5Se2/CFC (x = 0.5) possesses the better electrocatalytic activity for OER. The enhanced activity may be attributed to binary Ni0.5Fe0.5Se2 and CFC support.
