ANSYS and MSTMM are implemented for modeling and investigating the natural vibration characteristics of the full-scale marine sail mounted hydroplanes system and the entire system is simplified into an equivalent one. The geometric parameters for 2-DOF hydroplane model are computed using MSTMM. Torsional spring value plays a significant role on the order of uncoupled frequencies. MSTMM is easy to formulate, systematic to apply and simple to code.
