A potentiodynamic polarization test was conducted on steel in a concrete powder aqueous solution. Potential ranges for different zones of corrosion have been determined in a chloride-sulfate environment. Identification of products formed in a chloride-sulfate environment through XRD and FTIR spectroscopy. Na2SO4 has mitigated the effect of chloride ions on reducing the passivity of steel. MgSO4 has stimulated the effect of chloride ions on reducing the passivity of steel.
