TiC-Ni and ZrC-Ni reinforced NiCrBSi matrix were produced using PTA welding hardfacings. TiC-Ni and ZrC-Ni reinforcement showed superior wear resistance under three-body abrasion and up to 700 °C. ZrC-Ni reinforced hardfacing possessed the highest wear resistance at 700 °C under impact and abrasive conditions.
