Need for cognition in children and adolescents: Behavioral correlates and relations to academic achievement and potential
文摘
The role of need for cognition (NFC) in academic achievement was examined. NFC was positively related to ability self-concept and control motivation. NFC was also positively related to learning orientation. A growing influence of NFC on academic potential over the school-years was found. Similar results for academic achievement suggest NFC as achievement predictor.
