The prepared two-component nanofluids have broad-band absorption characteristics. Enhanced solar thermal conversion property was found for the prepared nanofluids. The enhancement comes from the complementary optical absorption of CuO and ATO. The two-component nanofluids are promising candidates for solar energy harvesting.
