We address the design of waveform covariance matrix (WCM) for MIMO STAP.

We solve the WCM design problem for the case of exactly known target steering vector.

We develop a method to design WCM which is robust to target steering vector errors.

We derive the target steering vector with the smallest SINR over the uncertainty set.

The proposed algorithms avoid diagonal loading and provide better performance.
