Shape evolution of CH3NH3PbI3 crystals via solvothermal synthesis is studied. Shape evolution of the crystals is controlled by different reaction conditions. Impurities presented during crystal growth can lead to hopper growth. Blue shift of photoluminesce peak is caused by defects present in the crystals.
