Microencapsulation of Lippia turbinata essential oil and its impact on peanut seed quality preservation

A complex coacervation process to microencapsulate poleo oil was used. High percentages of encapsulation efficiency were obtained. Oil levels were recorded in the peanut surrounding atmosphere during 78 days. Fungal count was significantly affected by the formulation treatment. Peanut seeds treated with the poleo formulation were unable to germinate.
