The algorithm EEMD has been applied to Cofrentes LPRM signals during an instability event. EEMD is able to construct IMFs with a unique frequency as opposed to the former EMD. Comparisons with EMD and STFT are presented. The IMFs obtained with this methodology represent the real core behaviour. Each IMF (mono frequency) represent one core oscillation, (full core, half core, quarter core, …).
