PSD emitted by CI engine fueled with diesel–DMF blends were investigated. The effects of SOI on PSD with diesel–DMF blends were well studied. The DMF addition reduced the AM number but increased the NM number. The trade-off between NOx and soot may be solved slightly with DMF-diesel blends.
