文摘
Cymbopogon, cultivated mainly for essential oil has emerged as an vital biofuel crop. Studied genetic diversity in Cymbopogon species from centre of origin i.e. Northeast-India. Used very simple, reliable DNA based markers (Randomly Amplified Polymorphic DNA & Inter Simple Sequence Repeat) for this study. Among various primer tested for 2 markers, 26 primers were successful in revealing genetic diversity in the species. Genetic diversity evaluated for conservation and management of Cymbopogon species.
