We investigate the technical feasibility of a new technique called gas-lift drilling. It is indicated that gas-lift drilling can reduce gas injection rate by at least 70%. Gas injection pressure in gas-lift drilling will be in the same level as in gas drilling. Temperature profile in gas-lift drilling will be higher than the geo-thermal gradient. Gas-lift valve designs used in gas-lift oil production can be used in gas-lift drilling.
