A generative physical model for drum stroke generation is proposed.

Enhances the stroke palette and musical expressivity of robotic drummers.

Time varying torque provided by the thumb results in a wide variety of drum strokes.

The model is agnostic to the hardware and can be implemented on any robotic drummer.
