The endogenous expression of miR-383 was significantly downregulated in glioma-exposed endothelial cells (GECs). Overexpression of miR-383 significantly inhibited proliferation, migration, angiogenesis of GECs, and vice versa. MiR-383 directly bound to 3'UTR of VEGF as well as downregulated protein expression of VEGF. MiR-383 inhibited proliferation, migration and angiogenesis of GECs by targeting VEGF 3′UTR. MiR-383 inhibits angiogenesis of GECs via VEGF/VEGFR2-mediated FAK and Src signaling pathways.
