The hypokalemia correlated with elongation of the QT interval in symptomatic children envenomed by scorpion sting.

In children stung by scorpion Centruroides limpidus limpidus, hypokalemia was related to the clinical status of envenoming.

The clinical severity of envenomed children by scorpion sting correlated with the concentration of toxic components in serum.
•
Application of horse anti-venom decreases the level of serum toxins and the intoxication symptoms.
