Heavy metal concentrations in urban rivers around Jiaozhou Bay were analyzed. The sediments are characterized by high levels of heavy metals. The anthropogenic inputs of Cd, Pb, and As are the most significant. Heavy contamination occurred in the eastern Jiaozhou Bay catchment.
