Multiple testing strategies exist for identification of HPV-related oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC). The Roche Cobas 4800 automated platform is designed to detect HPV in liquid gynecologic cytology specimens (Pap smears). We utilized the Roche Cobas 4800 platform for detection of HPV in formalin-fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) OPSCC tissues.
