Analysis of organic biomarkers from Donggi Cona dating back to 18.4 cal ka BP. Compound-specific hydrogen (δD) and carbon (δ13C) isotopes of n-alkanes. δD of nC29 alkanes display the temperature signal overprinting the effect of the precipitation amount. The δD of nC23 records the signal of the lake water evaporation as well lake level fluctuations. Varying Westerly and Asian monsoon over Late Glacial to Holocene period in the plateau.
