Adsorption of anionic and cationic dyes from aqueous solution using gelatin-based magnetic nanocomposite beads comprising carboxylic acid functionalized carbon nanotube
The gelatin-CNT-iron oxide magnetic nanocomposite beads were synthesized.

The beads could remove both anionic direct red 80 and cationic methylene blue dyes.
•
The beads with strong magnetic property could be separated using an external magnet.
•
The adsorption experimental data was fit with the pseudo-second-order kinetic model.
•
The endothermic adsorption process is spontaneous and thermodynamically favorable.
