Studies on statin use and kidney cancer survival have had conflicting results. In this review, we pooled data from 12 studies involving 18,105 patients. No study was found to be at high risk of bias based on the Newcastle–Ottawa Scale. Statin use significantly reduced risks of cancer-specific and all-cause mortality. Statins may have a therapeutic role in improving kidney cancer survival.
