A novel cationic konjac glucomannan-based flocculant (KGM-g-PDMC) was designed and prepared.

The cationic flocculant of KGM-g-PDMC could exhibited excellent flocculating ability in the presence of inorganic salt and a wide range of pH flocculant.

The relationship between flocculation performance and different substitution degree of KGM-g-PDMC were discussed.
